DKS Doorking Photo-reflective Entrapment Protection Device

Entrapment Protection Devices

DoorKing Entrapment Protection Devices provide essential safety for automated gate systems, helping prevent injury or equipment damage. These monitored devices comply with UL 325 safety standards and are required for all entrapment zones in gate applications.

Non-contact Type B1 sensors, such as photo beams, detect obstacles and automatically reverse gate movement. Contact Type B2 sensors, such as electric safety edges, activate when touched to stop or reverse the gate. Together, they ensure safe, compliant operation for swing, slide, and barrier gates.

Note: DKS operators require at least one monitored entrapment protection device in each direction of travel. Without these devices connected, the operator will not run.
