In-person Training Seminars
Two day hands-on seminars provide training to install, operate and maintain our access control and vehicular gate operating products. All of our training seminars and include updates on UL 325, ASTM F2200 and UL 294 standards as they apply to DoorKing products so that installers and system designers are up to date on current industry safety standards and requirements. Two day training seminars begin promptly at 7:30 AM and continue to approximately 4:00 PM each day (unless otherwise), so be prepared for two full days of training. We do limit class sizes for these workshops and they do fill quickly, so register at your earliest convenience (click on a workshop below to register). Registration fee is $25.00 per person, which includes breakfast and lunch each day.
Busted Knuckles training programs offer an advanced hands-on experience for those who want more in depth training on DoorKing gate operators or software programs and cloud applications. These are hands-on, so be prepared to get dirty! Click a Busted Knucjkles link for more information. Busted Knuckles are one (1) day advanced training programs for persons who want a more in depth study of DoorKing gate operators or software programs and cloud applications. Training begins at 7:30 AM and continues to approximately 4:00 PM. Class size is limited to 25 persons max, so register early (click on the Busted Knuckles program to register). Registration fee for Busted Knuckles training is $25.00 per person and includes breakfast and lunch.
COVID-19 Update:
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have temporarily suspended all face-to-face training seminars. We will resume our Hands-On and Busted Knuckles training programs once we are confident that we will be able to meet the safety requirements mandated in each of the states that we have planned these programs in.
Continuing Education
DoorKing seminars and training programs are recognized by the ACI and IDEA and allow you to earn continuing education hours to maintain your ACI and IDEA certifications. Continuing Education (CE) hours awarded are dependant on the training program you attend. Webinars* are typically awared .5 CE hours.
* You must be present for the entire webinar to earn CE hours. Attendance and polling questions are used to insure your presence throughout the webiner.

American Fence Association Schools
The American Fence Association (AFA) offers in residence comprehensive training courses that can help automated vehicular gate operator professionals earn their Gate Automation Technician and Gate Automation Designer certifications through the Accreditation and Certifcation Institute (ACI), or their Automatic Gate Operatior Installer and Automatic Gate Systems Designer certifications through the Institute for Door Dealer Education and Accreditation (IDEA). The 2020 class dates are November 17-19 for the Gate Automation Designer School, which is an online school this year because of COVID-19. Check the AFA website for more information and registration.
