Provide internet connectivity for System programming and/or voice communication to eVolve Series, 1830 Series, Access Plus, and Standard/1812 Series Entry Systems. A Cellular Connection is a great option for Entry Systems without access to an ethernet port for a VoIP Connection, or as a Cellular Retrofit option for those that currently use a POTS Connection. Our most versatile Easy Connect Internet Option: an AT&T 4G LTE Cellular Internet Connection using the Cellular Control Box.

The Wireless Internet Connection Option for Entry Systems
Cellular is a flexible, wireless solution for connecting System Managers and Users to their Access Control System.
While the eVolve Series has built-in Cellular compatibility, The optional DKS Cellular™ Control Box provides voice communication to all other DKS Entry Systems* through a cellular network, much like a mobile phone. The Cellular Connection also enables completely remote programming for DKS Entry Systems in the 1830 Series and Access Plus Series using one of the DKS Easy Connect Programming Options. The Cellular Connection Box is easy to install and sets up with instant access. Cellular is the perfect option for locations that do not have access to an internet line and don’t want to dig a trench to add one, properties with remote access points, or users who want to update from their original POTS Connection – plus, it’s more affordable than a traditional business line.
The DKS Cellular Control Box operates on the AT&T 4G-LTE cellular network (where available), and as such, a monthly subscription fee applies (just like your cell phone). The DKS Cellular Service provides very competitive monthly rates and is available in all states including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and all U.S. Territories, Canada, and Mexico.
The DKS Cellular Control Box may not be compatible with some older Telephone Entry Systems without a circuit board upgrade for the Entry System. Find a DKS Dealer to understand your Cellular Retrofit options.

The DKS Cellular Control Box is also the Cellular Retrofit Option
The Cellular Control Box is fully backward compatible with new and older DKS Entry Systems so it’s easy to keep your Entry System up and running with the latest internet connectivity option.
Please note that some older DKS Entry Systems may need a circuit board upgrade to be Cellular-ready. We recommend contacting a DKS Dealer in your area to discuss your options and select the right Cellular Control Box for your Entry System.
Still Using a POTS Connection? Save Money and Avoid Loss of Service with a New Cellular Connection
A POTS Connection is no longer recommended or supported by DKS. DKS has phased out support for POTS Connections as phone companies nationwide are transitioning to fiber and, in the near future, will no longer service the copper lines needed for the POTS Connection. DKS recommends switching to a VoIP or Cellular Connection, you’ll save money each month and avoid a loss of Entry System service. Typical business phone lines run between $100 to $200 per month, PLUS the expense of long distance charges, Cellular phone line will cost just a fraction of that monthly.
No Available Ethernet Connection for VoIP? No Problem with DKS Cellular
While a VoIP Connection is a great internet option, not all properties have access to an ethernet port where they need to install the Entry System. A great alternative is the DKS Cellular Option™ for voice Communication and System programming over the AT&T LTE cellular network. The Cellular Control Box is easy to install and sets up with instant access once your cellular line is activated. The Cellular Control Box eliminates the need for long wire runs, expensive trenching for new lines, or reliance on expensive old phone lines that are being phased out.
DKS Cellular is the Only True "Machine to Machine" Cellular Connection for Entry System Programming
Other systems claim they can be programmed via the cellular network, but they only accomplish this through a series of text messages — imagine trying to program hundreds of telephone numbers, user names, card codes, holiday schedules, permission levels, hold open time zones, elevator control parameters, etc. with text messages. The DKS Cellular Connection is unique in the industry as it’s the only service that allows you to “push” your Entry System settings directly from the Cloud Account Managers and Windows Account Managers to the Entry System using a true machine to machine (M2M) connection.

Choose a Cellular Connection for Entry Systems in remote locations without access to ethernet for a VoIP connection, or retrofit an older DKS Entry system to update from a POTS Connection. A Cellular line can also be split for guard tower or dual entry.

- Both Cellular Control Box models 1800-080 and 1800-081 operate on the AT&T 4G-LTA cellular network. Service offered where available, click here to check for AT&T coverage at your location.
- DKS Cellular is available in all states including Alaska and Hawaii. It is also available in Puerto Rico, U.S. Territories, Canada, and Mexico.
- DKS Cellular service is not available in any additional countries.
- Account registration is required to active Cellular service, see Cellular Activation instructions here.
- Select your level of service at the time of registration: Voice Communication only, Programming Connection only, or Voice and Programming Connection.
