Your Safety is Our Primary Concern

IN ORDER TO ASSURE THAT DKS PRODUCTS ARE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH INDUSTRY SAFETY STANDARDS AND TO MAINTAIN THE HIGH LEVEL OF PRODUCT SERVICE AND SUPPORT THAT DOORKING IS KNOWN FOR, THE DOORKING WARRANTY ONLY COVERS PRODUCTS THAT HAVE BEEN PURCHASED AND INSTALLED THROUGH AN AUTHORIZED RESELLER.

Need help finding or verifying an authorized reseller?  Simply use our Dealer Locator or give us a call.  We will be happy to assist you and recommend authorized resellers in your area.

DoorKing sells our products only through our authorized resellers. Unfortunately, numerous web sites unaffiliated with DoorKing offer DKS Gate Operators, Telephone Entry Systems and other products for sale. While the prices may seem attractive, there are more important factors to consider. Our concerns when buying from an unknown web site vendor include some of these following issues.

  • Buying our products from an unknown web site that offers no installation means that the customer becomes responsible for the proper design, installation, and maintenance of the Access Control System.
  • DoorKing does not provide warranty support to persons or companies who have purchased our products direct from unaffiliated web vendors. Many of these web vendors do not offer warranty support or any post-sale support, often leaving you with only costly options. You should also be aware that many of these vendors charge an additional “warranty service fee” to process any product that you may have purchased from them for warranty service. This is because these resellers do not work directly with DoorKing and must go through a third party to provide service for your warranty claim. You should also be aware that improperly installed Systems can void your warranty.
  • Automated Vehicular Gate Systems must be installed in accordance with the UL-325 and ASTM F2200 Safety Standards, local building codes, the IBC (International Building Code), the IFC (International Fire Code) and the IRC (International Residential Code). Most laypersons are unaware of, or are not familiar with these codes and standards and do not realize the potential hazards associated with an incorrectly designed or installed System. If an Automated Vehicular Gate System is not properly designed, installed, used and maintained, serious injuries or death can result.
  • Automated Vehicular Gate Operators now require two forms of protection against entrapment for each potential area of entrapment. Your Authorized DoorKing Dealer will identify these areas and recommend devices (such as Photo-beams or Contact Edges) to offer protection in these areas. Failing to install these required devices will result in an unsafe Automated Gate System. External Entrapment Protection Devices must be monitored by the Gate Operator. Failing to install these devices, or installing an incorrect device, will cause the Gate Operator to not function.

  • Please review our UL 325 and Gate Safety pages for more information.

Because of these reasons, and to maintain the highest level of consumer safety and customer support, DoorKing has chosen to market its products only to professional companies, who are licensed to sell, install, and service Vehicular Gate Operating Systems and Access Control equipment.

DoorKing currently has a network of over 2,000 professional dealers, distributors, and representatives nationwide.  A DKS Authorized Dealer will provide a complete, trouble-free installation with no surprises, and all costs are quoted before work starts.  They will ensure your System is properly installed and will provide post-sale warranty and maintenance support.  Their (and our) goal is for you to have a pleasant experience with a reliable product and supportive company for years to come. Please contact one of our Sales Team Members for any questions about our products or support.
