DoorKing V-Wheels

DKS DoorKing offers a variety of V-Wheels and V-Wheel assemblies used in slide gate applications that utilize an inverted "V" type track. The weight and usage of the gate is critical in determining the size and type of V-Wheel that is right for your gate. UHMW wheels are generally used for lighter gates while steel wheels are used for heavy gates. For very heavy gates, the tandem wheel assemblies are ideal and provide a long service life by spreading the weight of the gate across a larger area than a standard single wheel - much like the tandem wheels on airliners spread their weight across many wheels. When in doubt, it is always best to use a heavier-duty wheel.

V-Wheel Assemblies

V-Wheel assemblies include guarding and are designed to fit onto a 2 inch bottom gate rail. These assemblies can be bolted or welded into pace.

P/N 1201-102: 4" UHMW Wheel, sleeve bearing. Max gate wt. 500 Lb.
P/N 1201-105: 4" UHMW Wheel, roller bearing. Max gate wt. 750 Lb.
P/N 1201-117: 4" Steel Wheel, roller bearing. Max gate wt. 1500 Lb.

Tandem V-Wheel Assemblies

Tandem V-Wheel assemblies are ideal for use with very heavy gates. By using two wheels in tandem on a pivoting bracket, the weight of the gate is evenly spread across a greater area of the V-track. These wheel assemblies are designed to be welded into pace.

P/N 1201-012: 4" UHMW Wheels, roller bearings. Max gate wt. 1500 Lb.
P/N 1201-010: 4" Steel Wheels, roller bearings. Max gate wt. 3000 Lb.
P/N 1201-210: 6" Steel Wheels, roller bearings. Max gate wt. 5000 Lb.
